I'm abby
your online presence Queen, biggest hype woman, and Founder & Creative Director of IlluminEssence Creations
If you like 90s hip hop and R&B, snacking on chips & queso, dancing barefoot in the sunshine, or hitting happy hour for margs, we’ll get along justttt fine.
I grew up in a very artistic family - my parents are professional musicians that traveled the world to teach and perform - so creativity came very naturally to me and was encouraged. As a kid, I played three musical instruments, sang in choir, took art classes, played sports, and danced (my real love!). Once I got to high school, I focused my energy on dance, which led to me getting my BFA in Modern Dance at TCU (and dancing professionally for years after college).
Although I’ve always loved dance, I knew it wouldn’t exactlyyyy pay the bills, so I looked for other creative outlets that could - and that’s how I ended up in the design world! In fact, when I was younger, I used to dream of working on a magazine one day. I originally got my design experience working on my high school and college yearbooks - as Editor-in-Chief for two years on each, in addition to being a staff member and section editor - which I then turned into a freelance career of design and marketing, starting in college and running for almost 10 years, before eventually creating the business you see today!
When I’m not working you can catch me getting outside - hiking in the mountains, sitting by the ocean, or watching a sunset/sunrise - with my boyfriend or twin sister, brother-in-law and their new baby girl. I currently live in Denver, CO but have lived in every time zone in the continental US (originally from Texas). My mom is one of my best friends and I see her and my twin sister as often as possible (I also have two older brothers!). I also love to travel, am a huge football fan (go Birds!), enjoy collecting records with my boyfriend, and take every chance I get to soak up snuggles from my fur babies (2 dogs and a cat).
We're so excited to have her on our team!
Originally from Steamboat Springs, CO, Izzy graduated in 2023 from the University of Denver, Colorado with a Bachelors in Business - Marketing; and she is now living and thriving in Bozeman, Montana!
She’s worked in social media management for over three years and loves how it helps businesses reach their full potential and share their brand story. She also just became an Auntie/GodMother in June 2023 and is loving every second of it!
