You don’t need to go viral to build a successful business.
You don’t need to sound “professional” to attract high-paying clients.
And you definitely don’t need to follow someone else’s rules to be taken seriously.
Strategy should feel good to you.
Your energy matters just as much as the plan.
Mindset and embodiment will always outwork overthinking.

I grew up in a very artistic family - my parents are professional musicians that traveled the world to teach and perform - so creativity came very naturally to me and was encouraged. As a kid, I played three musical instruments, sang in choir, took art classes, played sports, and danced (my real love!). Once I got to high school, I focused my energy on dance, which led to me getting my BFA in Modern Dance at TCU (and dancing professionally for 5 years after college).
Although I’ve always loved dance, I knew it wouldn’t exactlyyyy pay the bills, so I looked for other creative outlets that could - and that’s how I ended up in the design world! In fact, when I was younger, I used to dream of working on a magazine one day. I originally got my design experience working on my high school and college yearbooks - as Editor-in-Chief for two years on each, as well as being a staff member and section editor - which I then turned into a freelance career of design and marketing, starting in college and running for almost 10 years, before eventually creating the business you see today!
During Covid, I was laid off from work (like everyone else), but the real hard hit was not being able to dance anymore. I went from working two jobs and dancing constantly to all of a sudden nothing. At first, I enjoyed the free time, but soon got tired of not being able to do creative work - and that's where the universe stepped in with more freelance opportunities than I'd had until that point. I loved it! But still subscribed to the "I need a real job" bullshit - so I applied to 100+ during 2021... jobs I was overqualified for, never heard back from, or just plain wasn't excited about.
SO. After almost a year of trying to do things the "normal" way, my husband (then my boyfriend of only a year+) encouraged me to do my own thing. I liked the idea but wasn't sure what that would look like, so I procrastinated on it and spun my wheels trying to find the "perfect" name for wayyy too long (LOL anyone else relate??). I finally took the leap on December 10, 2021 to not only start my own business but say YES to myself, my vision, and my fucking power and LIGHT that I had been dimming for years.
My business has grown and evolved over the years (we're on year 5 now!) - from a one-woman show to leading a team, back to a (much more intentional) one-woman show - but I couldn't imagine doing anything else. It truly lights my soul on FIRE to get to empower women in business to know that who they are - right now - is enough and deserves to be shared with the world.
I'm based in Denver, CO but have lived in every time zone in the continental US (& I'm originally from Texas)
I love to travel - locally & internationally (we spent 2 weeks in Europe for our honeymoon!)
My husband & I are hugeee football fans (go Birds!! and I'm a big TCU fan for college)
The hubby & I met when I was working at a Taproom in Durham, NC (yes, the old fashioned way LOL)
We're BIG on collecting records (we have hundreds now) - and they're perfff for an impromptu dance party!
I'm a cat person at-heart (I have two), but we also have two dogs (GSPs, so very high energy but sweet!)

At the end of 2024 I started my own podcast, and it's truly one of my favorite parts of my business now. My goal with this podcast is to share the authentic experiences of owning a business that you don’t always see online - the highs, the lows, and every spicy bit in-between. The conversations I get to have with other women business owners - or lead on my own in the solo eps - just light my soul on fire. And they've been a source of inspiration and genuine connection during a tough year (for me and all of us). New episodes drop every Tuesday.
